We are a shotgun sporting clay facility shooting range that offers a 14 stand sporting clays course and a five stand. We are located off highway 20, 9 kms south of the Hamlet of Winfield and 5.2 km north of the Hamlet of Hoadley. Our sporting clay course meanders though 35 acres of white and black spruce, mature tamaracks, cotton woods and poplar trees a natural setting over looking a small creek. Our land is 156 acres that is bordered by crown land to the west and protected natural area of the Black Spruce Fen to the east. Located in the immediate Pigeon Lake area, Hwy 13 west and south on Range Road 11, Dorchester Golf Course is approximately 40 minutes south of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This is a challenging 18 hole golf course nestled in rolling coulees. With the elevation changes you get stunning views of the Battle River valley and the hills in the distance. As our business is appointment-based, we would appreciate your attention to our advanced booking policies As you are booking so far in advance, flexibility is necessary as our staff and menu periodically change. You will be contacted well in advance to any changes to your original bookings. If no changes occur you will be contacted one week prior to confirm your group's times and services. At the time of the booking, you will have one week to choose and submit everyone's services. 30-day cancellation when booked 6 months or more in advance. Every individual will be required to give their credit card number to hold their service. If not the individual contact person will be responsible for no shows. Names, time and appointment lists can be e-mailed to you one week prior to coming so you can organize your group. Please advise your group of the following Spa Etiquette: Groups/Individuals must arrive 15 minutes prior to the appointment time. Christmas Trees Coming to our tree farm to get your live Christmas tree is a great experience for everyone. We will supply you with a saw so you can choose and cut down your very own Christmas tree. We have a small selection of pre-cut trees available if you prefer not to cut your own tree. Your tree can be bailed (wrapped) for a small cost to make transport much more convenient. We can not accept cards, cheques or cash only, please. Landscaping Trees Fir Ever Green Tree Farm sells landscaping trees in all sizes up to 15-foot trees. We specialize in coniferous trees but also have a large supply of leaf trees including Swedish Aspen, Elm, Schubert Chokecherry and flowering crab apples. We are a non-profit organization situated on the south side of Pigeon Lake and dedicated to the quality of life for everyone in our community. Founded in 1973, the Society’s members were largely made up of people with an agricultural background. Over the years, the membership has developed into a more balanced community made up of families that have moved into the area to either retire or work. For this reason, the Society has grown to be more diverse in its programming and events to accommodate this change. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the sponsors and volunteers that make all of our events happen. Without them, most of our functions would not be possible. Our annual membership fees are $10.00 per person which gives you added benefits using our facilities, so I would encourage you to purchase one. The Pigeon Lake Child and Family Society (PLCFS) was incorporated in 2001. Our society believes that strong families build strong communities. In defining family, we strive to strengthen the value of children, youth, parents and our elders as vital members of a healthy and vibrant community. Our three major projects each year consist of: Cultural programs – For many years, Pipestone, Falun, Mimiw Sakahikan and Lakedell schools are provided with an Alberta Opera Performance as well as attendance at the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra in Edmonton for a performance during the school year. The Society has extended both events to Winfield School for the 2019/2020 School Year. As well, we are working with Pigeon Lake Regional High School to bring a theatrical performance for their student body to enjoy. Santa’s Elves – for the 2018 holiday season, 221 children received Christmas gifts and 89 families received food hampers to brighten up this special time of year. We extend our deepest thanks and gratitude to all of our donators as well as volunteers who so kindly give to pay it forward!! Florence Riske Caregiver Award - established in 2007, our first recipient, Florence Riske, cared for her disabled son, Melvin, in their home until her passing at age 92 and Melvin at age 71. Each year, we seek a new recipient for the award as we feel that in our busy lives and with the hustle and bustle of daily living, society as a whole has not given the deserved recognition to these caregivers. To date, the award has been given to 12 recipients!
